Participating Countries
The original four countries participating in the Quadram were: Canada, Israel,South Africa and Scotland. Unfortunately, South Africa was not able to participate and was replaced by England.
Team selection
Quadram Team
Since the BBAC has not yet held national games, the executive committee had to select the Quadram team based on qualification at CBSA nationals. It was decided that only gold and silver medalists from the past 5 nationals would be considered. The players with the highest number of gold medals in their sight category were contacted and, if not interested, the next highest qualifyers were contacted and this down the line to the winners of the least number of silver medals.
Open Team
The open team offers non qualifying bowlers the opportunity to gain international experience. Although not part of the official Quadram, the open team offers a chance to bowl against Quadram team members and local bowlers in friendly games. The desire to participate was the only criteria for selection.

Mats,Strings/Distance Markers:
A thin white string will be drawn centrally from end to end under the mat of each rink. The mat must be placed at least 2 metres from the edge of the ditch The distance between the front of the mat and the jack must be a minimum of 23metres = (25yds). Distance Markers will be used to determine length of jack and the umpire will resolve any disputes.
Jack:
Should the jack be delivered incorrectly once by each player, it shall be placed 2 metres from the back ditch (full length).
Directors:
The person helping the bowler at the mat end shall be referred to as the Director, and where possible there should always be a Director available. The Director shall lay the mat and assist in gathering of bowls he/she may also assist with the strategy of the game providing the player with information on jack distance and position of each bowl.
Assistance to the players at the mat must be limited to them being given verbal directions; on no account must physical direction be given to a bowlers arm. The player and /or Helper/Coach/Director may visit the head after each bowler has played two bowls.
Time Wasting:
Slow play shall be discouraged at all times and markers/directors shall take steps at all times to achieve this objective. Umpires have the power to caution or discipline for any time wasting that takes place.
Shot Count:
No bowls may be disturbed until shots are agreed by players/Directors.
As a result of any measures the marker or umpires decision will be final.
Markers:
At the start of each end the marker will pace out the minimum distance in metres the length the correctly delivered jack has travelled. After each bowl has been delivered and come to rest the marker shall step out the distance and call back to helper using the clock system. The marker/helper at head is not permitted to stand over the jack; he or she must stand 2 metres behind jack. Directors are responsible for the scorecards and must ensure they are signed at end of game and that the scores and ends are agreed.
Disputes:
All disputes during play shall be referred by the Director to the marker who shall be in charge of the game. If necessary the Marker shall refer the dispute to the Umpire. Any unresolved disputes shall be referred to the Tournament Committee (S.A.B.B.)
